Thankyou to all who attended FREELAN!
The event was free thanks to the continued support and attendance of you guys. So thanks!
Special thanks to Select Start Media for the prizes for the day. Their kind donation made the competitions that little bit more awesome!
When you host an event pushing this size, it really highlights where we could improve in our management of the event, and certain aspects of the network that could be improved.
We've walked away from this event with more knowledge than ever before and we're certain that the next event is going to be our most polished yet.
2142 was unfortunately not feasible with EA complications- and instead we had some good old fashion fun in 1942.
Next we had a grand TF2 30 player 15v15 5 point front line chaos! After a solid push, hold, push effort- RED won the day!
Next up was the blur competition! With two running games due to the numbers, the top three from each side (EAST SIDE REPRESENT!) were through to the knock out finals.
After no less than 11 races, the finalist was stuntman22 - congrats!
Finally we had the trivia, with quite difficult questions I was surprised at how many were actually answered by the majority of the groups! However at the end of the day, Group Ebola-chan won the day!
And at last we had the lucky door prize went to Josh!

Thankyou to all who joined us for our first LAN of 2014!
Special thanks goes to Select Start Media for the Prizes for the day, their kind donation made the competitions ever so more awesome!
The day opened with Battlefield 1942 which was an awesome introductory to an old classic, lots of fun was had.
Next was a new game for everyone: Running with Rifles, which was welcomed as a great load of fun with a learning curve that was steep and yet easy enough to fit a LAN environment.
Unreal tournament was admittedly not quite as epic as last time due to I think our choice of game mode and maps, things to be considered next time!
Finally our blur competition was great fun ending with myself winning! Hazah! However I'm an admin, so I didn't get any prizes... So the prize went to Tozz who was runnerup!
The lucky door prize went to Honjura, congrats!

Teamspeak Upgrades!

Bonjour!
The FpsCorner website has been heavily updated overnight, most notably is that Teamspeak permissions have been reset and is now completely controlled through the website.
Any user can personally grant themselves their level of access on teamspeak through the website by navigating their browser to FpsCorner Teamspeak ... additionally, if their user group is ever to change, ie: to friend / member etc. All of their devices will be automatically upgraded.
When someone posts to the board, the global Teamspeak chat will display that a post or thread has just been made with a direct link to read it. Neet!
Finally we have a new about page that highlights "The Three Pillars" of our little organisation, and the involved structure. You can read this page here: About FpsCorner.
